Help please with astro eq

Can anyone help with an issue I have with astro eq, we set the scope up and align on a star eg vega

Tracking is then really good but when we slew to another star it's going the wrong way, have tried changing E,W and N,S but to no avail. If we are tracking well why won't it slew to a new target or am I being a muppet here, help please it's really frustratingloxosing a whole night of clear skies

As ever thanks. A quick rough and ready test seems to have resolved the issue. Should have thought more about where to post but was pulling my hair out last night. Clear skies and no scope
