EFW2 reset glitch. Other victims?

Humph, last night I did a full night's LRGB run using an Atik 11000 and EFW2. Only I didn't. I did a night on Ha because for some reason all the filterwheel positions had reverted to position 1, though their names, chosen by me, were still L R G and B. I can see the wheel resetting itself to default because that's the kind of thing software decides to do from time to time, but only setting part of itself to default seems a bit weird, no?

Anyone else seen this?

Olly

Alternatively, which one of you lot crept into the shed and set them all to P1? Come on, out with the truth!!!

I use APT with my EFW2 and it has not missed a beat (touch wood).  That said, i probably use mine 0.0000000000000001% as much as you Olly due to our blummin' weather so statistically you are bound to have more troubles than me.

I had this happen with my EFW2 and Artemis software too - when I was testing AA5 for guiding.  Normally I check all the early images to check the FW but this time I only looked at the Ha ones.  The Ha filter is in position 1 so it would seem to be the same problem.

What if the filter wheel fails to turn?  Does Artemis know?  Is there any feedback from the FW to the software?  Or does Artemis simply tell the EFW2 to go to position x and hope it does it?

I would look at the quality of the power & the connection itself as this could as suggested earlier be a power reset state. I have not experienced any issues but too be frank I find Atermis disappointing to be shipped with cameras that typically cost £2000 & up. Come on Atik- give us better software! I use the Ascom driver through the SkyX & it seems to work okay (so far)
