Daytime Meteor?

Hi

I'd like you opinion on whether I managed to randomly catch a daytime meteor when playing around with timelapse on my iphone.

There's quite a lot going on in the footage so please check my description below.... The upload is about 60Mb and it the unaltered original 1080p footage.

Please let me know what you think!

If at 17 secs you look to the extreme top of the movie between the sun and the right edge, you can clearly see it come in from the top, come down vertically as it burns up in the atmosphere.

Looks like an aircraft contrail to me as well. The upper part seems to be the earth side of the high cloud. A plane passing overhead will produce a near vertical contrail when approaching the horizon. Sorry to be a sceptic, hope I'm wrong.  :smiley:

Yep!

Contrail IMO

You can see the upper air is stable by the higher clouds running in the same direction.
