loss of colour

Recommended Posts

While I am a little excited about my first attempt at the Pleiades, I am also disapointed a little with the loss of colours, I imaged this in tungsten white balance to keep red sky glow to a minimum, although I caught some nebulousity during this 70 min exposure, I have loat colour in the individual stars, I was hoping for more blue in the main cluster where the stars appear to have burned out and there are a few yellow stars dotted around the area which havn't really shown much yellowness due to also burning out, the stars I think are over exposed but I needed to use the long exposure for the nebulae areas, any idea's guys?

Neil.

Hi

You might like to compare the sub length, number of subs, and calibration frames used to make this one at F5:

There are other M45 images around on the forums to compare with.

Edit:

This one has a lot of colour:

Hope that's helpful

You seem to have a decent bit of data there, just need to learn to tease the detail and colour out.
