AR2192 in 3 lights.

AR2192 taken 24 October, 09.45 UT. I really would have kicked myself had I not captured more images of this massive AR. As it is it was a struggle with constant cloud (there were some blue patches, but as always they seemed to be permanently in the wrong place!) Kudos to my old ST102, my most used scope and the cheapest in my present collection. It works great as a companion to the Ha Quark unit, performs well with my CaK diagonal; and now, together with Baader solar film, continuum and IR block filters, has done great in white light. The Ha was done with the PSTDS - conditions were not good enough for the Quark unfortunately.  The Cak was done with the Lunt B600 filter.

Ruud - the Ha was done with the double stack PST, not the Quark.  Ant, I think the varied quality is down to the variability of the cloud cover.  By the time I came to do the Ha the passing cloud was affecting the capture to a greater extent.  With the white light and CaK I was lucky to have a gap in the cloud.

Excellent images, still hoping the Sun will appear before it goes round the  other side, repeat, must not buy Cak, must not buy Cak, must not buy Cak, must not spend any more money on Solar stuff
