North at the Top in my images

OK, a really dumb question at this stage, but... :o

I have an EQ Mount, driven by CdC and EQMod:

If I want my (video astronomy) *images* to always be aligned "North at the Top", is it sufficient simply to align the camera "perpendicular" to an appropriate (Newtonian) OTA axis? That now done, looking approx. South West, my distant rooftops are at a jaunty angle on the monitor, but... Pushing the N-S buttons in EQMod causes the image to shift directly up and down (E-W buttons directly side to side!) on the monitor. Moreover, my neat little CCD reticule in Cartes du Ciel (also at an angle) now moves along verticals / horizontals of the EQ Grid!

I THINK I've cracked it? lol. That obviously, I won't have to keep rotating the Camera?

Can't get my head around the "lateral thinking" this morning and I'd like to be sure!  :p

Aside: My ultimate purpose is to be able to use EQMosaic...

Having fed it relevant chips sizes, this all looks promising! :)
