SkyTee-2 altazimuth mount question

I am thinking about buying the SkyWatcher SKYTEE-2 AltAzimuth Mount which, according to the specification, is compatible with the Sky-Watcher 1.75" stainless steel tripod (20798) supplied with the HEQ5 and EQ5 Equatorial mounts. I currently have a Celestron CG-4 OMNI EQ Mount & Tripod so was wondering if the SKYTEE-2 would fit the tripod I already have? From what I can tell the tripods appear identical but none of the suppliers I've asked can confirm this for definite.

Could anyone shed any light on this for me?

The tripod on the CG-4 is smaller and lighter weight than that on the EQ5. Probably best going for the EQ5 version otherwise your setup might suffer from the wobbles.

I think it will fit on the CG4 tripod but it's more stable on the 2" legged CG5 one.

You could just buy the complete unit in one go and fund by selling what you have
