Comet Siding Spring / Mars conjunction - damp squib!

Is anyone else a bit underwhelmed by the images of Comet Siding Spring from Mars, after all the hype about what a spectacular event it was going to be?

This is the best I've see so far from the surface, an image by Curiosity Rover. Hardly the spectaclar display we were led to believe would happen!

The Curiosity pic is a bit underwhelming, but I loved Damian Peach's image.
