An Essex M33

From the windswept Essex countryside last night, I took a shot of M33 as it meandered over Colchester, huddled in a little corner of my garden. Notice the awesome framing and the noisy canon.

This is my first effort at a long run, 30 x 5 mins after discarding a few. Guiding with ST80 + Meade DSI. All controlled with a vintage MacBook Pro. I am more than happy with the way things are progressing. What a lovely little hobby, albeit one that keeps me up till 4am on school nights.

And my, doesn't the area around Orion look inviting for my new toys - can't wait.

Looks very nice, well done.

It was all I could do, in the strong winds, last night to lay out on a lounger trying to spot some Orionids. Being asleep more than I was awake probably accounts for my not seeing any!
