12 volt cigarette socket for use with 12v hairdryer

Over many years I have used a portable car jump starter with a 12v adapter to run my 12v hairdryer. These tend to last a couple of years then die even though I regularly charge the device.

I was thinking of buying a 12v leisure battery (60amp ish) and then use a cigarette socket adapter with crocodile clips to attach to the battery. Most of these cigarette adapters, that I have found, state 5amps. I am guessing that the 12v hairdryer is between 150/200 watt so I need a cigarette adapter about 15amp.

Has anyone got any experience with this arrangement or can you recommend a better procedure other than the mains electricity?

Change the fuse, might be the way to go....put a 15amp in there...

I use a Skywatcher 7Ah torch/power supply which as a 10A car-type output.  My portable hairdryer (Brunner Monsun brand bought from Amazon) is supposed to be 168W which would be more than 10A but in practice it works.

I have not run it over a long period so I don't know if there is any long term problem.
