Kelling Heath - Iris Nebula

Recommended Posts

Last Friday (26 Sept 2014) at Kelling it was clear all night - I finally crawled into bed at 6.30am and was up again at 10am to look round the stalls.
I have been saving the Iris for a dark site and this is the result of around 30 x 300s luminance and 8 x 300s of R,G and B. I did take more but noticed that the focusing was out so had to refocus and abandon some of the subs. I have found it really quite tricky to process.
Taken with a Megrez 90 and Atik 460EX mono with Astrodon LRGB filters.

Thanks to Sara and Chris for advice on the processing.
