aurora addiction

Hi folks:

We had another display last night..maybe an hour or so before the clouds rolled in. While I was taking these shots another photographer drove up and set up her gear (unfortunately by this time the clouds started moving in). She is quite an experienced aurora photographer and I was grateful to learn the 'painting with light ' tip from her....which I will have to try next time. There were a couple of towers with red lights on them that kind of got in the way for some shots but I liked the red glow they gave the background. My lens is an f3.5, but aperture fever of a sort has set in...I would like to get a 14mm wide angle f2.8.
