Re Telrad. Hoping that AstroTux will spot this

Alan,  Could you please tell me a bit more about the Surface Mirror which is specified in "Using your Telerad Reflex Sight".  It is an awkward item to locate and  I therefore wondered if an ordinary vanity mirror would do the trick or would it render the mirror system too far below par to be practical.

No, it wouldn't work.

It needs to be "first surface" mirror (also called "front surface" mirror).
