A heart-warming image indeed and a novel use/rendition of the VLBA data.

But a bit ott to colour it blue !

and why is it elongated top-bottom ? Is it a problem of the resolution in that axis of the VLBA ?

because at that range I would have expected it to be a point source, regardless of the high gain antenna shape (which I think was circular portion of a paraboloid anyway)
