Hi and welcome to the forum. That a good size of binos for astro work although anything larger would definitely need some additional mounting.  Binos are not only great for those starting out in astronomy but are also an essential viewing tool to accompany your scope. The wide view they afford is perfect for flying down the length of the milky way taking in the sights along the way. I would certainly recommend this site called 'Binocular Sky' as it has some great ideas on how to observe and mount your new binos but it also lists a monthly target list for you to seek out. To help with the later part, you might also want to consider downloading some free planetarium software called Stellarium. Easy to use with lots of great features, one of which will allow you to configure it to match the co-ordinates of your own viewing location thereby producing the exact same sky to that which you can see for real. It will certainly help your rehearse finding objects as there is also a search facility that will assist you in finding more targets as your experience grows.

Clear skies and hope you enjoy the forum

Hi and welcome!

Wex photographic sometimes have some good used and clearance tripods/monopods so might be worth a look. Your nearest London camera exchange might also have some used gear.

Cheers
