Hi, moving from a dslr and a light pollution filter, is it prudent to use one with a mono CCD and lrgb filters?

I have not received my narrow band filters yet.

Hi

It's not clear whether you've ordered narrowband filters i.e. Ha, OIII, SII? You shouldn't also need a lp filter with those but lrgb will probably need a lp filter if you normally use one. A lot depends on the nature of the source of your lp.

The Astronomik spectrum shows the position of some lp wavelengths:

The Baader LRGB are better though, I think!

Yes narrow band on order but delayed due to shortage of my required band pass..

I guess that its a question that is best served by experimentation, I'll try a 600 sec sub.

What I'm really trying to get to is knowledge of how lrgb behaves relitive to a modded DSLR with a light pollution filter.

Clearly they are sensitive and if Luminance is susceptible to LP, then I guess I need a filter.
