Hi SGL,

Well Olly has already posted his version of this region, and here is my one. This is a great part of the sky. I never noticed, or even saw this part of the sky before. The constellation Camelopardalis is invisible from my location in Dublin, and takes a bit or adapted darkness to notice the main stars even from a dark site.

This one is one that's going to get the full 30x20inch print out for framing. We had a lot of data, over 30 hours in total, and this remained smooth at full scale. I really love the VBD nebula, they have subtle colour and vary from blues through pinks, and purples.

Time to seek out more of these.

Tom.

Thanks everyone. I really only wanted the 4 or 5 main bright constellation sign post stars and that cluster to shine through. With so many stars in the image, its tricky to minimise them all. I was playing about with a PI range mask and curves to lessen the star halos too. You might need several masks to deal the varyin sizes of stars / halos but it works a treat.

Tom.
