C/2012 K1 Panstarrs

Recommended Posts

Looks like this comet will pop up and down again in the dawn sky.

According to Sept' S@N Mag but their dates don't make much sense compared to Stellarium not sure that they haven't got Sept'/ Oct' reversed in the mag graphic ?

Skyhound recon it wont be seen from 51-55 lat until around the 19-20th Sept before sunrise,

and looking at the nearness of the sun at present I think this info is cushty.

Skyhound are not known for bum steers I have to say

Clearish sky this morning, nice comforting first view of Orion this year, nice overhead pass of the ISS, machine gunned the sky with camera where  K1 Panstarrs should be but no sign.

No sighting in 16x50 bin's, very murky low down though. Maybe tomorrow :)
