After the summer break, and short nights, the first meeting of the new season will be held this coming Thursday, 4th September 2014 at the usual venue of The British Geological Survey in Keyworth. There is not going to be a formal talk, but a catch up on what people have been up to over the summer and an update on the Observatory Project; there will also be an Astronomy Quiz which will have questions suitable for all ages and levels of knowledge.

Visitors as always are encouraged to come along and there is no charge for attending. We are a friendly group and happy for you to come and see if our society is something you'd like to join and be involved with. If you don't have transport and want to come along, get in touch via the website or through Facebook as we may have someone who could offer you a lift.

Doors open at 19:30 for tea and coffee (and biscuits if Victoria has done the shopping), and the meeting will commence at 20:00 and will probably last an hour and a half or so.
