Darks - Help!

Recommended Posts

Thanks Oldpink. My image data doesn't give the temp. Can I set that up so it does in future?  I'll try the fridge, although I don't think is was that cold. It felt colder as it was so damp. I've tried to find a weather Website that gives details of past nights, but with no success.

if you use BYEOS it adds the temp to the file name
but you should be able to get the data from the Exif data if you have it set to record it

if you feel the fridge is too cold try a few minutes to cool the camera down then take a few darks and repeat till you have enough without getting too cold

but an average fridge is 4 - 5 deg and with the camera active it rarely drops below 10 deg which should be close to the average night tike temp last week

I'm afraid I don't use BYE. I should! It's something I'll move on to. How do I set the Exif data to record temp?

Yes, it must have been about 10 degrees. I'll try the gradual cooling technique in the fridge. Thank you! I'll let you know how it goes.

Exif data is stored as part of the image its self (embedded)

it can normally be set from the camera menu or the camera software

you can get software to read the data or if you right click the image file and select Property's from the menu then details in the next window you will get the basic Exif data

inc the ISO & exposure etc
