Comet C2014/E2 from Bembridge

took a little while to sort the comet stacking feature in DSS, but here's my first image of C2014/E2:

Taken with the 200P and SW CC/FR @ F4.5/900mm with my modded 1100D.  26 lights 80s exposure at ISO800 and 20 x darks (closest match 90s x ISO800 from a couple of weeks back).   EXIFs were reporting 20C for the light frames.

Happy for a first attempt, but sure that fresh eyes will improve a second process tomorrow

Thanks guys - will have another go at processing the background to improve balance.

Is the red patch, just to right of jacques, a reflection or small patch of nebulosity?

That's nicely done Jake :-) The red could easily be some nebulosity too. I only just discovered the joys of comets last week and had a couple of tries, stacking out the star movement is tricky so top job.

Cheers Simon - full credit on the stacking to DSS comet and stars option, though it takes a good while to complete the stacking!    Might have another look at the processing now I've discovered PS..
