Milky Way plus faint Andromeda galaxy

I used my Sony RX100

14 lights of 13seconds each

4 darks

DSS & The Gimp (Rubbish processing, still haven't learned this part yet....)

Location: Heidenrod Germany.

Not sure what's going on in the lower corner of the picture, I do know some neighbour had they garden lamp on while I was taking the pictures, it could be this.

It is a dark site, first time really I use this camera to do such shots.

Not expecting much attention with my lack of processing skills....

If anyone want a go at the original file, it was done from Jpeg's so I'm not expecting much.

I wasn't going for such shot tonight, was more of a @damned, can't get something to work so let's try a few random shots@....

OK pity about the garden light but don't knock youself, it is a nice shot.

Great that you have overlayed the constellations it certainly helps with the 'where to find Andromeda' question. :)

I was looking at the same area last night whilst setting up the piggyback ST80.
