windows 8 and xbox camera

Hi all, just changed my pc and I am now stuck with windows 8 (ugh) I have found that windows 8 does`nt support my trusty xbox camera. Has anyone got any ideas for a cheap camera which works with windows 8. Many thanks, Pete

Can't find anything now but I thought I had recalled reading something on the webcam and windows 8

Got my Xbox cam to work with windows 8, Think I had to get a patch for it to work with sharp cap. Sorry just cant think where I  found it.

Yeah I use my Xbox Webcam with my Windows 8 laptop.

I have to be honest and think I just plugged it in with the latest version of Sharpcap and it all worked. I don't remember having to do anything specific to get it working.
