Isn't amasing what we all can do these days if we want to, it is not as if he has a 24inch RC costing tens of thousands, C8 and some comet-ment.

The current prediction is for this comet to reach 11th mag only. This might change with more accurate positional info but don't expect it to be much brighter.

However, comets often surprise us so keep looking.

Terry is a member of our astro club and is a great bloke.

He'll be very pleased to read you comments.

Terry has found some pre-discovery images and has been able to refine the orbit. He now expectes perihelion to be on January 30th and to be 8 to 9 mag in January.

We now await some visual sightings. At the moment it is too far south for us to see from the U.K.

This could be a nice comet to see after Christmas. Just getting visible for us at max. brightness too ! Whether it reaches mag. 5 though, have to wait and see.
