Hi, I'm Jason.  I just thought I'd say hello, after signing up. 

I thought I'd join this site to chat and also be able to get people's opinions on equipment.  I have friends who practise astronomy and it's spmething I've always been into, so I'll be getting a new telescope soon, as a reward to myself. 

I'm sure there is a wealth of information available on here, so I'll read it over the next couple of weeks.

Thanks a lot for the warm welcome!

I've started to read some of the beginner's advice on here and have already found it useful, so thanks to all the people who have contributed to that.  I have decided to get a Newtonian Reflector telescope, as I'm very much interested in viewing the deep sky objects and it seems like the one to get for this. 

When I get it started properly in a month or so from now (after I move home), I'll post a few pictures of what I see.
