The Lagoons(M8) toes.

NGC6559 and its surroundings. This is what i would call the toe end of the M8 Nebula area (M8 being the heel) You can see what i mean if you look at this wide field shot i did some time ago with a 200mm lens.

The B&W shot is H-Alpha and the colour is blue/green with the H-Alpha used as red. Green was only added to get a bit better star colour.
18 x 600sec H-Alpha mapped to red.
18 x 600sec Blue
12 x 300sec Green
Atik 383L mono camera
Baader 1.25" filters
Stacked with DSS, processed in PixInsight.
Carbon Serrurier truss Royce 10" f4 Newtonian.
Televue paracorr type 2
Takahashi NJP mount.

I found my first version a little dark and lacking some of the detail that the HA version had so I've given a go at using the HA as a lum layer but first ran HDR Wavelets Transform over it.
