Replacement rubber grips on focuser.

Hi folks, I have an Orion Skyquest XT8 and the rubber grips on the focuser have perished/fell apart. Before I try to make some homemade grips I was wondering if there was somewhere that sells replacements. Many thanks.

This has come up a number of times in the past, though fortunately I've not had the problem yet so I've not really paid much attention to the solutions.  If you can find the right terms for the forum search you'll probably come up with a raft of possible ideas.

Thanks Nigel, have had a look at other threads and I think I will go for a trap washer or the o ring method, cheers.

I have fitted the trap washer rubber rings to my Skywatcher focuser and it works a treat.
