Great shot! I think the one in the middle looks complicated. On Spaceweather they have it as two AR's but I can't see the separation between them.

Spot on Johan.  The new AR and AR in the centre have both sprung to life over the last 24 hours.  I reckon the new AR is going to get better over the next few days, 24 hours ago there was no spots. A superb shot.

Radio 4 had a programme on in the morning a couple of weeks back and they had a solar scientist on (I have forgotten her name), but she said that the energy we see started life in the core some 10,000 years ago and it takes that long for it to make it to the surface, a struggle against gravity.  From there it only takes 8 minutes or so to get to earth.  Makes you wonder, this show is the result of 10,000 in the making.
