Tonight looks promising for me. I haven't been stargazing for a few weeks due to rain. But tomorrow night is supposed to be cooler outside. I am considering just forgoing a night . Anyone else do this when they been waiting but it feels muggy outside but clear skies?

Most years I am with more than my fair share of clear skies, last year was 28 clear nights in June, this year though has been a bit of a letdown (10 so far). I often do not bother when the Moon is very close to full and if the seeing is awful. Lately though I have grabbed what I can.

And there was me being delighted at getting half a dozen sessions a month......

Well I did decide to do a little bit last night. I wasn't out for more than half an hour at most. I using my 70 mm tabletop telescope along with my 40,25, and 20 eps. I did get into focus a small brown color object that didn't have the same characteristics as stars do, it was bright though, as if reflecting from the sun. I'm not sure if it was a star or a planet like object. But it was interesting to see. I was also able to view some star clusters as well.

It was very foggy on the coast of Finistere last night. Tonight was much better - almost a horizon to horizon milky way from just after dusk until now. The clouds have rolled in, but not before I managed about 15 subs on the North American Nebula and 40 on M13 with a 400mm lens on an Astrotrac. Fingers crossed that I can get something for my effort - I seem to struggle with RAW images and any stacking software.
