triton1 Posted July 27, 2014 Share Posted July 27, 2014 Globular clusters are spherical and compact especially towards the centre what you have found is an open cluster, more irregular and spread out hope this helps.Download stellarium and use the ocular plug in with your eyepiece details this will enable you to see exactly what you should see through the eyepiece.Good luck Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Mike73 Posted July 27, 2014 Share Posted July 27, 2014 All the clusters you see will have a name of some kind, its just a case of getting a positive ID on what you are seeing through the EP then starting the sketch.Do you know what the cluster you sketched is called?
