Well, I have made some more progress today. I managed to get the rocker box assembled. I still have quite a bit to do, like sanding, painting, cut and apply the laminate and PTFE and a load of other bits and bobs.

I just could not resist mounting the OTA on the rocker base ;-)

thank you very much everyone for for kind comments. I am getting really excited about finishing this project. I just hope it works OK. Once I get this finish I am looking forward to 3 first lights of sorts - dob mount 300PDS and Naglers :-)

I think that I will only truly be able to enjoy this Dob after I have completed my next project after this one - a Denver observing chair.

I am only really playing at this, compared to the projects that others people here take on. I am enjoying it though. There is a certain amount of frustration that goes with it.

One advantage of being an OAP and not having anyone to care for.  There are several disadvantages though - not much money and I miss the company.  Mind you I do have this habit of taking on new projects before finishing the ones I already have   Helps me enjoy life though
