Things gone wrong - please tear into my images

Image 1 - The result of stacking in DSS. 98% star detection was given 650 stars so I couldnt reduce it.

Image 2 - A bit of processing but not happy - was i working with bad data or done things wrong this time?

Image 3 - The result of stacking in DSS when 95% was over 2000 stars but 96% gave zero stars!

Image 5 - The worryingly clipped BackYardEOS graph I had during image capture.

Something is wrong - the clipping? Do I need longer exposures? Somehow too much noise when imaging with the modified 1100D? Something? Anyone?!

If it was me i would up the ISO to 1600 and/or increase the exposure time to get the histogram further to the right, i believe that the 1100D is quite happy at the higher ISO.

Thanks Alan - have always been nervous about taking it above 800

I am  guessing here but i wonder if your problem with star detection in DSS could also be related to the seamingly clipped histogram but as Mike has already comented there is still a lot of data in there.
