Hi,

A few clouds this morning, but much better seeing and a lot less wind.  Today's offerings are a full disc in white light (WO ZS80, Lunt wedge) and two close ups in Ha with a Quark.  I have decided that my Quark really needs good to excellent seeing to get anything good, probably not surprising since it has a 4.2x barlow built in and my scope is already longer focal length than my Lunt.  I find the Lunt 60 easier to live with and produces better results under marginal seeing, but I can't do white light with it and it is heavier (especially with a double stack) so not so good for travelling.

Thanks guys. A great holiday, but solar imaging has to be over by 10:30 otherwise MrsDrRobin complains too much. Anyway it gets too high by 11am for my Merlin mount and the seeing goes too.

Very nice, Robin.

Just back from my "one scope" hols. I really liked being able to do H-a, white light and regular astro with the one scope, a titchy 60mm. One lady on hols asked what I was looking at with my "camera," the scope is that small!
