Chandra X-ray Telescope 15 Year Anniversary

As a fitting celebration of 15 years of Chandra operation, NASA have released four newly processed images of supernova remnants. The new Crab Nebula image is my favorite.

In X-Rays you can really see the pulsar doings its stuff. I read somewhere that the energy it loses as it spins down is the same as that emitted by the light coming from the nebula, confirming that it is powered by the pulsar.
