superb pair of proms 22.07.2014

watched and imaged this pair for around 2 hours earlier this evening. the first image was just before 5:00pm the 2nd was at 6:45pm i took 20 AVI,s which are now stacked and awaiting animation if i can work out how to do it. i think i am going to try the IMGALT programme anybody got any tips?

it was incredible just how quickly this pair changed shape over a 5 minute period, so active! around 10 minutes after the last image was taken the prom on the right had completely gone.

the usual set up Coronado PST,DMK21 2000 frames, stacking between 200-400 per image.

and it vanished 10 minutes later, love seeing the detached part quickly fade as it was thrown into space!

I was lucky to catch it around 6:45 too after having a look on Gong earlier and it looking like something might be stretching off screen. Amazing how quickly it disappeared shortly after that
