Hi Mark,

My development machine is with Win 8, so it is not seen much star light. I have checked ASCOM, CDC, PI, PHD, PHD2 and of course APT ;) On dry tests everything looks fine, but on my observing machine I still keep the Win 7...

I just made the leap to Windows 8.1 too, bit of a shock at first but am now used to it! ASCOM and PHD 2 work with no problems, as does EQMOD and CDC. The others I don't know about.

Hope this helps

If you can't get it all running under Windows 8 you could always consider running a Windows 7 virtual machine. I do that for my software development tools as it also means I can quickly move it onto another machine if my main laptop dies without having to re-install everything!

I can confirm that everything on your list works fine with Windows 8/8.1.

The only trouble I had was with the driver for a Phillips spc900 and I had to buy the new version of the Eqdir cable.
