mini xlr connectors for 12V

I'm getting really fed up of cheap 2.1 and 2.5mm standard power connectors. where I have space I'm using good old 4 pin xlrs. trouble is they are big. To replace the standard connectors on ccds etc, has anybody tried mini, or tiny xlrs, 5a power. and lockable. What's not to love about them?
