Spoon
Did anyone else see the fireball go from Bootes region to the plough? Time was 23:27? One of the best ones I've seen in a long time! Cam
Andy-man
Not sure if I saw the same one, but I saw my (first ever) fireball at about that time moving north to south. Bright orange, with a central core and a corona?/halo. I noticed it when it was just north of directly overhead and was amazed at the size of it - about the size of a circle made with finger and thumb at arms length (if that makes sense!). It faded/disappeared from view just above the southern horizon. Very, very impressive!

Andy 5312
Surely that had made it through the atmosphere ? It just seemed way too low to have not have done. Sorry guys but that was astounding.

Andy-man
A few folk on here have got wide-sky webcams for picking up meteors - worth doing a search. It was absolutely amazing!! I couldn't hear any sounds from it, but did see "sparks" from the halo. I was surprised at how round it was and how unlike a "normal" meteor it was. It seemed to be moving slower than normal meteors too - presumably due to atmospheric drag?
