newbie Jupiter (through cloud) MS LifeCam, Mak127

Hi,
my first proper attempt at Jupiter, shot last night when cloud wasn't too bad (i.e. mount alligned when I could see some stars, data used from a 2&1/2 minute period when the image was brightest) - however there was a lot of cloud around so I can't expect too much I guess.  Captured in sharpcap (using a Mak127 and MS Lifecam with x2.25 Baader barlow), processed in PIPP, stacked in AS!2, then (first image) tweaked with wavelets in r6 or (second image) tweaked a bit in GIMP.  I prefer the GIMP one I think.  I was quite pleased to see I'd caught a moon and a shadow transit.
it's going to be interesting to see what I can get under a properly clear sky.

That is an excellent first image John and you most certainly have caught a moon and transiting shadow. Very well captured indeed.

                                     Best regards,
