Hi Everyone.

I'm a total newbie to the hobby, well i say total newbie, i've always loved looking up at the  at the stars on a dark night, there just pretty but also fascinating with it, and often try to locate the plough, its the only constellation i know. I have spent some night sobserving the moon and stars from my binoculars but never really looked for much else.

Anyway my son has just had his 14th birthday and so has decided he would like to do some stargazing, so i have bought him just a small celestron travelscope 70. He has had it a few nights looking through it and so have i late into the evening when he is in bed. We were both fascinated when we found Mars.

I have been that fascinated that i have now bought us a Celestron lmc76, which with its go to tecnology i am hoping we can study and find much more with ease. So i am very excited as its being delivered tomorrow, and am hoping for clear skies tomorrow night so we can get out there together to observe.

Hi, thanks for the welcome, I'm in Rugeley, stuck in a concrete city, but can see parts of the sky around the houses at night. I'm hoping to take a trip up to Caste Ring if you know where that is, as i think it will be perfect up there for some Star Gazing and my other half lives just down the road from there which is a bonus.
