Mars final process from 15th

A quick reprocess from data the other night with good seeing. Each channel is a stack of 500 from 2000, with the red channel as a luminance layer.

Celestron C11 with ASI120MM camera and Baader RGB filters.

That is a pretty nice image...I don't know whether your problem is further back than the use of the red channel as a luminance (used as a luminance in Photoshop for example, you should always use "Pin Light" as the "Blend Mode" to get correct colouration...)

But it IS a decent image basically - I did a quick correction from the screenshot but you'd need to go back and do a complete reprocess to do justice to your capture data...and it deserves it - meaning you are not too far from a really good result!

Brilliant! I can't remember the blend mode I used, but I will give it a go. Are the reasons for your concern the oversaturation? I did boost it, probably too much.

Thank you James! By the way, I am considering upgrading my revelation superfocus focuser with the motor drive you made. Still trying to work out what I need etc
