The colours are a bit garish....I need to reprocess this one I think.
Celestron C11, DMK21-618, Powermate 2.5.
IR742 filter used for Luminance, Baader filters for RGB.
Stacked in AS2, wavelet sharpened in Registax 6.

excellent image, the IR742 filter used for Luminance does seem to provide a sharper image than the red channel.

i do like to see all the individual channels and the finnished image all on the same screen it shows all the work that has gone in to the finnshed image. are the individual images all pasted into a black background?

Those are excellent results.  I think the red is still sharper and more detailed but the IR has better contrast, I don't bother with IR anymore but on some nights IR can be better than the red channel in particular types of seeing.
