Hi everyone,

So it was clear tonight so I thought id try properly polar aligning, I've watched 3 videos on it today to make sure I get it right. I've followed it step by step but on 120sec exposures I'm still trailing very badly. Any advice???

Thanks

Cam

Not really enough information to analyse your error.

Polar align - what did you polar aling to - did you use a polar scope or an alignment on a star?

If you polar aligned to the pole star, did you make sure you had the hour angle right?

Properly Polar-aligned mount in the HEQ5Pro/NEQ6 is well capable of 4 minutes un-guided .

As I said above you need to Drift-align - just putting Polaris in the little circle is fine for visual but nowhere near good enough for long exposure imaging.
