unusual halo effect

I just saw this halo effect outside my house here in Perth Australia  I have seen this before in the Uk but never this large , thought it was worth a post .

Nice image. Halos have the same radius (22 deg) wherever they occur due to the fixed angle of refraction through ice crystals. Nice and bright one by the look of it.

Seen a smaller one across in the Peak District in September last year not on the massive sale,tho

Oddly, last Tuesday we had one SE of the Isle of Wight that only completed the upper left third of the arc and snapped off abruptly

at about the 9 oclock and 2 oclock positions !

I put most weirdness in the garden at night down to next doors cat, but I'm not sure what caused this as they sky seemed just as milky below
