Tonight's Moon - DSLR Shot

Fairly pleased with this one. Just a single frame taken with an old 450mm M42 lens on my Canon 1100D.

The full image is a bit bigger but I prefer it at that size, the downsampling sharpens it up. I took about 40 frames, I'll try feeding them to Registax when I have some spare time and see if I can improve on the above.

Thanks, the 450mm lens is no substitute for a scope but gives decent enough Moon pics. It gives me something to play with, I took another shot last night from my bathroom window. Over time I'll put together a collection showing the different phases, which will keep me busy for a while.

On my todo list: stacking and finding a way of sorting out the nasty over-sharpened edges.
