davefrance
Hi, was just outside getting ready to photograph moon when a bright object flew across the sky directly above me getting brighter almost like the tip of a sparkler then just burnt out. Any ideas on what it was or where I can get any information? Was not your common or garden shooting star, much bigger, relatively slow. Time was 8.55pm - Paris time (7.55 UK time). ronin
No idea , it sounds like something re-entering, they are slower. and there are enough bits up there.Sure there is also supposed to be meteors that come from one of the lesser constellations at this time that are described as "slow". I reckon it was a pretty big piece of space junk if it was that.
