Mars 5th March avg seeing

SPX350 F38.4, PGRFlea3, Baader RGB filters.  RGB   1436hrs UT.

Variable QLD seeing was not very interesting but managed an RGB image.  On collimating on a star seeing looked good but it seemed to deteriorate.  I tried my 5xPowermate at 8.5x at 12cm extension from sensor to give 13,500mm fl to help tiny Mars at 12" but all it did was magnify variable seeing.  Here in Brisbane, Qld Mars gets to 70 degrees alt so I shall have to hope for better seeing.

Thanks, John.

Wonderful scale and detail in that shot John, really pushing the focal length to achieve this.    Wish that Mars would rise a little higher in for us in UK!   Hope the seeing improves for you in April, should be a killer combination for some great shots.
