Supernova in M82

Recommended Posts

Justin case anyone hasn't seen, there has been a new supernova in M82 discovered, currently approx Mag 11, expected to brighten.

Has been posted in the binocular observing section too. I found it in my 10" dob last night, fairly faint, but conditions weren't perfect. Hoping to catch it over the next few weeks to track it's brightening.

If you are adept at estimating magnitudes, or not and want to try, like me, you can submit your findings to AAVSO - www.aavso.org
