Comet Brewington

Weil I thought I would try and round off the year wit a sighting of my third comet of the year. Sadly, I couldn't see anything of Brewington. Still, PANSTARRS and Lovejoy were both good, ski can't complain too much. Roll on good viewing in 2014.

Top marks for trying, all this wind and rain has had me hiding indoors! What instrument did you use to try and see it with?

I had a brief gap in the clouds, so was only time to carry the 10" LightBridge outdoors. Sadly, it wasn't really dark which I'm sure added to the difficulties. I have next doors house roof to dodge when looking for Brewington, so the times for viewing from my back garden aren't optimal. There's always the next comet though.

It was visual, some time in early December I think. It showed up as a faint roughly circular glow. Averted vision only in my C8
