My 'modded' Meade ETX105 OTA - part 1

Recommended Posts

I have just had 'firstlight' with my 'modded' Meade ETX105 OTA.

I spent about 40-60minutes looking at Jupiter & M45 and collimation appears OK as the coincentric rings appeared as perfect circles when in & out focus on stars in Gemini & Orion. I would have liked to have spent more time observing and wait for Mars to reach a good altitude/elevation, but alas, I have got to goto work at LHR later today.

Part 2 to follow at a later date with details and photos of what was modded.
